Plot
Supermodel and sex symbol Cindy Crawford made her acting debut in this high-decibel thriller. Kate McQuean (Crawford) is a lawyer who -- in the course of a divorce proceeding -- attempts to seize a 157-foot freighter docked off the Florida coast in lieu of unpaid alimony. It turns out that the freighter is the current base of operations of Kazak (Steven Berkoff), a former KGB agent who has become an international money laundering expert and leader of a crack terrorist team. As one might imagine, Kazak is not especially happy about possible eviction, and soon Kate has a hefty price on her head. Kate, however, doesn't know the nature of Kazak's business and isn't sure why someone is trying to kill her. Loose cannon police detective Max Kilpatric (William Baldwin) is assigned to protect Kate, and romance begins to bloom as they dodge a remarkable number of bullets and explosions. Fair Game was originally slated to star Sylvester Stallone alongside Crawford (the film's location was moved to Florida at his request); when he dropped out, Crawford found herself co-starring with Baldwin, another model-turned-thespian. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

Fair Game is a 1995 action filmdirected by Andrew Sipes. It stars Cindy Crawford as family law attorney Kate McQueen and William Baldwin as Max Kirkpatrick, a Florida police officer. Kirkpatrick ends up on the run to protect McQueen when she is targeted for murder by ex-members of the KGB with interests in a ship owned by a Cuban man who may lose it in a divorce case being pursued by McQueen. The movie was famous for Crawford's topless and sex scene.
The film is based on Paula Gosling's novel of the same name, which was previously adapted into the 1986 Sylvester StallonefilmCobra.
The film made USD$11.5 million, but it was treated harshly by critics who singled out Crawford's poor acting.[3] It was nominated for three Razzie Awards, for Worst Actress (Crawford), Worst New Star (Crawford) and Worst Screen Couple (Crawford and Baldwin).[4]
Kate McQueen (Cindy Crawford) is a Miami lawyer who—in the course of a divorce proceeding—attempts to seize a 157-foot freighter docked off the Florida coast in lieu of unpaid alimony.
The freighter is the current base of operations of Ilya Pavel Kazak (Steven Berkoff), a former KGB agent who has become an international money laundering expert, and he has also become the leader of a group of terrorists.
When Kate is unintentionally hit by a stray bullet, Miami detective Max Kirkpatrick (William Baldwin) is assigned to the case, and then an attempt is made on Kate's life.
Max becomes her protector, as it turns out that Kazak wants Kate dead. Max and Kate travel throughout Florida, dealing with Kazak's henchmen along the way. When Kazak has Kate kidnapped and taken to the freighter, Max boards the freighter in an attempt to rescue Kate.
