On the whole, Fairfield Inn tends to be the more economical brand of the Marriott corporation. Fairfield Inn is similar to Super 8, Motel 6, and Holiday Inn with basic amenities while Courtyard, Residence Inn, etc. are slightly more upscale (i.e. Hilton Garden Inn). The breakfast at Fairfield Inn is a little less frills and there are aren't as many things like a computer in the lobby for use. Beyond that, the setup and layout of the hotels are similar.
