Review

This Sony two-fer contains two Bonnie Tyler offerings issued exactly ten years apart, both produced by Jim Steinman. While Faster Than the Speed of Night contains the smash "Total Eclipse of the Heart," and her fine reading of John Fogerty's "Have You Ever Seen the Rain," Secret Dreams & Forbidden Fire contains two lesser known but brilliant tunes as well: Desmond Child's "If You Were a Woman (And I Was a Man)" and Steinman's own bombastic but utterly satisfying "Rebel Without a Clue." ~ Thom Jurek, All Music Guide
