Fatehgarh (Hindi: फ़तेहगढ़, Urdu: فتح گڑھ) is a cantonment town in Farrukhabad district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is located on the right bank of the Ganges River. It is the administrative headquarters of Farrukhabad District. Fatehgarh derives its name from an old fort. It is a small city with no significant industrial activity. The Indian army has a big establishment in the form of Rajput Regiment Center and the great and most decorated regiment of the Indian Army the Sikh light Infantry Centre. There is a famous temple of Hanuman ji at Bholepur.

Demographics
As of 2001[update] India census[2], Fatehgarh had a population of 14,682. Males constitute 60% of the population and females 40%. Fatehgarh has an average literacy rate of 76%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 83%, and female literacy is 65%. In Fatehgarh, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age. but now in fatehgarh its very good that everybody is interested in study & comptetion so want to avail the benefits from near by city kanpur as kanpur is the financial and educational city of uttar pradesh.There is a jai narayan verma road (J.N.V.
