Fernbridge is an unincorporated community in Humboldt County, California.[1] It is located 3 miles (4.8 km) west-northwest of Fortuna,[2] at an elevation of 39 feet (12 m).[1] Fernbridge gets its name from the historic bridge at the site that connects Ferndale, California to US 101. It is also the site of the headquarters of the Humboldt Creamery agricultural marketing cooperative. The ZIP Code is 95540. The community is inside area code 707.
The first post office at Fernbridge opened in 1924.[2]
Politics
In the state legislature Fernbridge is located in the 2nd Senate District, represented by Democrat Pat Wiggins, and in the 1st Assembly District, represented by Democrat Patty Berg. Federally, Fernbridge is located in California's 1st congressional district.
