Ferndale High School is by far the largest of three public secondary school in Ferndale, Washington. The others are Windward High School, a part of the Small Schools Project, and Clearview High School, an alternative high school.

Athletics

The Ferndale High School Football team has won one 3A state title, in 2005. It has not lost a regular season game since 2004, though it has had little post-season success since it won its title.

In week 3 of 2009, Ferndale suffered their first regular season loss since 2004, and their first home loss since 2003, being defeated by the Blaine Borderites 28-21.

In late 2008, the main grandstand at the Football and Track and Field stadium was condemned. As a result the Football team had to play two home games in nearby Blaine and Bellingham. Memorial Stadium is now back in action for friday night lights.

Band

The Ferndale High School Marching Band won state titles in 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. It has participated in the Tournament of Roses Parade Participant, the National Cherry Blossom Parade Participant, the Ski to Sea Grand Parade, and several other parades.
