Filby is a civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. It covers an area of 5.80 km2 (2.24 sq mi) and had a population of 740 in 308 households as of the 2001 census.[1] For the purposes of local government, it falls within the district of Great Yarmouth.

It derives its name from the viking File the Dane, who settled in the area around AD 800. In 2002, Filby won the village category of the Britain in Bloom competition.[3]
