Finland Proper or Southwest Finland[1] (Finnish: Varsinais-Suomi, Swedish: Egentliga Finland), is a region in south-western Finland now designated the Province of Western Finland. It borders the regions of Satakunta, Tavastia Proper and Uusimaa.
