Finnish hip hop music is a part of the Finnish music scene. While some crews based in Finland (Bomfunk MC's, Don Johnson Big Band, Kwan) choose to record their rhymes in English, the majority use Finnish.[citation needed] The first recordings were released in the late 1980s but the real boom of Finnish hip hop came in the late 1990s. The best-selling crew has been Fintelligens,[citation needed] with several top 10 albums and singles. The best-selling solo artist is Pikku G,[citation needed] who was 15 years old when he made the album Räjähdysvaara (Explosion Danger), which sold more than 120,000 copies in Finland,[citation needed] going quadruple platinum.[citation needed] Several years after that he made an album called Suora Lähetys, but it did not sell nearly as well as Räjähdysvaara.
