Pêche Extrême (☎ 01 47 57 17 32, www.peche-paris.com) organizes fishing trips for giant catfish, pike and carpe on the Seine just outside Paris (by small motorboat), from April through the end of October. They also organize freshwater fly-fishing for trout in a lake at the Bois de Boulogne (from September). It costs € 122-€183 (extra €30 for non-fishing companion) for eight hours of “no-kill” (catch-and-release) fishing with a licensed, bilingual guide, and includes the day permit and all materials. Lunch isn’t included. Their office and meeting place is right on the edge of Paris at the Maison de la Pêche et de la Nature, 22 Allée Claude Monet, Ile-de-la-Jatte, Levallois (92). M° Pont de Levallois-Bécon. Open Monday through Friday, 10:30am to 5:30pm.
