Fit the Flop

Poker Guide: Fit the Flop

The way in which a players pocket cards blend with the flop (usually to make a hand or potential to make a hand) in games such as Hold'em and Omaha.

SoundPoker Says: If your pocket cards were Q-10 (mixed suit) and the flop showed A-K-J (mixed suit), your cards then fit the flop the best way possibly at this point in the hand. You flopped the nuts. Conversely if the flop showed 2-4-6 (spades) your hand doesn't fit the flop at all.
