Biography

Formed by '90s space rock notables Windy and Carl with a local friend and fellow musician, Greg Gasiorowski, Five Way Mirror combined the duo's drones and post-shoegaze guitar echoes with Gasiorowski's shadowy electronic bent. Gasiorowski himself describes Five Way Mirror as inspired in part with his work as Toemass, describing the "more trance-like" parts of his work there as combining with Windy and Carl's own particular style. The three began working together in 1995 with various live performances and recordings, but the project's first album, Transcendence, only appeared in 1999. ~ Ned Raggett, All Music Guide
