For FleetPride bigger is better. It distributes heavy-duty parts for buses, tractor-trailers, waste-disposal trucks, and large off-road vehicles, as well as provides repair services. FleetPride, which is the largest independent heavy-duty truck parts distributor in the US, operates through some 345 FleetPride parts and FleetCare services outlets. FleetCare locations are company owned. Some of the brands included among FleetPride's 180,000-plus SKUs are ArvinMeritor, Federal Signal, Ingersoll-Rand, and Tenneco. It also offers private label products and rebuilt (in-house) parts. Aurora Capital Group owned 80% of the firm until mid-2006, when Investcorp and other investors acquired it for some $506 million.
