Flowers

Full-length dance, mime, and theatre piece with choreography, libretto, and design by Lindsay Kemp and music by Joji Hirota. Premiered Dec. 1973 at Bush Theatre, London, by Lindsay Kemp and Company. It is based freely on the life and writings of Genet. When Kemp first appeared as its tragic heroine Divine he became established as one of the leading performers as well as directors of the 1970s avant-garde.
