The focus of this company is on sweets, spicy food, and sandwiches. FOCUS Brands is a leading multi-concept restaurant franchisor with more than 2,200 locations in the US and more than 30 other countries. Its brands include Carvel, a leading chain of more than 550 ice cream stores operating primarily in the Northeast, and Cinnabon, a popular sweet snacks chain with more than 600 units found in shopping malls and other high-traffic locations. Through subsidiary MSWG, FOCUS Brands franchises more than 400 quick-casual Mexican outlets under the Moe's Southwest Grill banner. It also owns sandwich chain Schlotzsky's. FOCUS Brands was formed in 2004 by private equity firm Roark Capital Group.

Focus Brands is an affiliate of the Atlanta-based private equity firm, Roark Capital Group, that owns the Schlotzsky's, Carvel, Cinnabon, and Moe's Southwest Grill brands. It purchased Seattle's Best and Cinnabon from AFC Enterprises in 2004^[1] and Schlotzsky's from Bobby Cox Companies in 2006.

On April 11, 2007, Focus Brands announced that it has purchased the Moe's Southwest Grill brand from Raving Brands.^[2]
