Review

Folklore of Averages moves along with emo indie rock appeal, loaded with inspired, twangy guitar riffs not found on radio stations. The vocals are surely like any other emocore singer's (think the Get up Kids and Sunny Day Real Estate). There's nothing groundbreaking here, but hats off to Haricot Vert for making a record full of real energy. Some bands pogo around and bellow, equating that to musical electricity. Without the human element (read: emotion) which is found on this record, it comes off as noise. Haricot Vert: Like emo? Like the Vert. ~ Liana Jonas, All Music Guide
