Review
The four-disc box set Forbidden Broadway, Vol. 1-4 contains all of the recorded Forbidden Broadway productions, complete with lyrics and liner notes. Forbidden Broadway is an off-Broadway phenomenon which finds the cast satirizing a bevy of productions -- Annie, Fiddler on the Roof, The Sound of Muisc, Miss Saigon, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Into the Woods, A Chorus Line, Chicago, Rent, among many others -- as well as stars (Barbra Streisand, Liza Minnelli, Madonna, Angela Lansbury, Ether Merman, Julie Andrews) with bitchy humor. Anyone that finds these records laugh-out-loud funny will find this collection indespensible. ~ Rodney Batdorf, All Music GuideTracks
