"Forever" is a single by hip-hop artist and rapper Drake.[1] The song features verses by rappers Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Eminem. The song is released as a single from the soundtrack to LeBron James's More Than a Game documentary.
The song was also put on the re-release of Eminem's album Relapse called Relapse: Refill. Eminem performed his verse of the song at the American Music Awards of 2009.

Background
The track was produced by Boi-1da and originally used by Kardinal Offishall featuring Rock City in early 2008 as "Bring It Back". Kardinal did not use the song for his album and it was later re-sold to Drake which was released in mid-2008 as "I Want This Forever" featuring Lil Wayne and Nut da Kidd. In an interview, Kardinal stated that his version was a leaked demo, and was supposed to appear on his album, Not 4 Sale, as well as a soundtrack. He also revealed that Drake wrote the hook, "He had written it and then we were supposed to get either Rock City or Akon or T-Pain to sing it."[2] The 2009 version of "Forever" features Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Eminem. Rapper Jay-Z called it the best posse cut of the year.[3]
Music video
The music video was shot in Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami, Florida in early September 2009.[4] However, Eminem's part in the video was shot in Detroit due to scheduling conflicts and not being able to be in Miami.[5] The music video was shot and directed by Hype Williams, it premiered on September 22, 2009 on BET's musical program 106 & Park, LeBron James appears in the opening of the music video in the back seat of a Maybach playing online poker on PokerStars.[6] It is also notable that there is not 1 frame in the video where the rappers featured are in the same frame, not even for 1 second. Chart performance
"Forever" entered the U.S. Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs at number fifty-eight on September 3, 2009[11], peaking at number 2. The song become the most downloaded song for the week ending September 15. On the week of September 24, the song debuted at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100, making it Drake's highest debut on the chart as well as his third top-ten single. It also topped the rap songs chart making it Drake's second number 1 on that chart. The song has sold over one million downloads.[12]

Versions
Many versions were made to this song. The title was officially changed, and will appear on the the album Thank Me Later by rapper Drake as well as on Eminem's new Re-release of Relapse entitled Refill. The original song was recorded by Kardinal Offishall and Rock City and was called "Bring It Back". The 2008 version title was "I Want This Forever", featuring Lil Wayne and Nut da Kidd. The official and final title of the song is "Forever", featuring Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Eminem. There is also a remix that was done by Nappy Boy founder & artist T-Pain & artist Young Cash, Both are rapping on the song, T-Pain having the first verse and Young Cash having the second. then they both alternate on the third verse. there is also a version by juelz santana titled "Harlem(forever)"
Travis Barker also made a remix with his drumming in the background. Kurthmaster of the Quadroholics also released a remix.
