Biography

Industrial producer Andreas Meyer named his project Forma Tadre in honor of the landmark Tangerine Dream LP Force Majeure. Meyer, from Bielefeld, Germany, began recording with "Celebrate the Cult" from The O-Files compilation on Offbeat Records. Mixes followed for Haujobb (also from Bielefeld), and Offbeat eventually signed Forma Tadre; debut album Navigator appeared in early 1997. Meyer also participates in the project N.E.W.T. (with Haujobb's Daniel Myer) and Eisriesenkoenig. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide

History

Originally from the Lower-Saxon region of Germany, Andreas Meyer was heavily influenced by the electronic band Tangerine Dream. In fact, the name Forma Tadre is a sort of portmanteau from Tangerine Dream's album Force Majeure.

Forma Tadre has done quite a bit of remix work for Haujobb, New Mind, :Wumpscut: and others. Andreas collaborated with Haujobb member Daniel Myer to form the band Newt.

In 2008, after 8 years of silence Forma Tadre returns with the new 13-track album "The Music of Erich Zann"[1]. "The Music of Erich Zann" is available for download on 19 January from iTunes only.
