Welcome to FormFactor! On tonight's show, contestants must dive off a high platform, retrieve a silicon wafer at the bottom of the water tank, and then run tests on the semiconductors! Using its interconnect technology called MicroSpring, FormFactor makes wafer probe cards that test semiconductor circuits (especially memory chips) while they are still part of semiconductor wafers -- before the wafers are cut into individual chips. FormFactor touts the process for its cost-effectiveness, since it allows testing of many chips at once across a range of scales and temperatures. Top customer Elpida Memory represents over 28% of sales. The company gets about three-fourths of revenues from the Asia/Pacific region.

The structure, shape or organizing principle of music. It has to do with the arrangement of the elements in a piece of music to make it coherent to the listener, who may be able to recognize, for example, a theme heard earlier in the piece or a key change that establishes links between one part of a composition and another. Themes and keys are only two of many elements that composers use to help articulate the structure of a piece to give it clarity and unity. There are numerous ways - subconscious as well as conscious - in which composers have done, or attempted to do, this, depending upon the style in which they are writing.

The word ‘form’ is mostly used, however, in reference to the structural plan of a single movement: such terms as binary, ternary, ritornello, sonata, rondo and variations stand for particular formal schemes. (For information on individual forms, see under the name of the form concerned.)
