A name, give me a name. According to the Way Back Machine, this company was once called Beringer Blass Wine Estates but was given its first Foster moniker (Foster's Wine Estates) after Australia's Foster's Group bought it from Texas Pacific Group in 2001 and combined it with Mildara Blass. It was renamed again in 2006, when its parent combined it with its Southcorp Wines Americas group. Foster's Americas (the name now seems permanent) offers premium wines; its brands include Beringer, Lindemans, Penfolds, Rosemount Estate, and Wolf Blass. It also distributes Foster's Lager in the US, Canada, and Central and South America. The company sells some 6 million cases of beer and 20 million cases of wine per year.
