Company Bio

The establishment of Foundation 9 Entertainment was first publicly announced on March 29, 2005. Foundation 9 was formed in a merger between The Collective, Inc. and Backbone Entertainment. At the time, the consolidated company became the largest independent game developer in North America. Foundation 9 indicated that it intended to retain its various constituent brand names, however, including The Collective and Backbone Entertainment, which itself comprises the Digital Eclipse and ImaginEngine labels. In April of 2005, Foundation 9 announced that it would also incorporate Pipeworks Software into its fold. ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide
