Founding Brothers

TV Series:

Founding Brothers

  • Genre: History
  • Release Year: 2002

Plot

In case the viewer is wondering why there is a two-party system in America, this two-part History Channel series offers valuable insights on the bickering, backbiting, and downright ego-tripping that went into the creation of the United States back in the late 18th century. A troupe of actors bring to life such historical figures as George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, James Madison, Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, and Aaron Burr, demonstrating that personal agendas and partisanship are hardly the exclusive property of contemporary politics. Individual episode titles include the slightly ironic "A More Perfect Union" and the cheeky "Evolution of a Revolution." Intended as a sequel to the 2000 History Channel documentary series Founding Fathers, Founding Brothers originally aired on May 27 and 28, 2002. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
