Fox Chase Cancer Center looks at cancer from all angles. The 100-bed, not-for-profit medical center specializes in cancer research, detection, and treatment. Formed in 1974 as one of the few US institutions dedicated exclusively to cancer, Fox Chase Cancer Center provides diagnostic, radiation oncology, pathology, laser surgery, and other cancer-centric medical services. Its research center supports clinical trials of possible new treatments as well as standard care for cancer patients. Much of its work is focused on cancer prevention and identifying risk levels in populations.
