Are you a sports fan? FOX might have your fix. FOX Sports Net (FSN) operates a portfolio of a dozen regional sports networks that provide 24-hour programming focused on live sporting events. The channels own broadcasting rights to show in-market games for more than 65 professional baseball, basketball, and hockey teams, as well as regional college events and some local high school games. FSN reaches about 83 million US homes through cable and satellite providers. It is a unit of FOX Cable Networks, which is owned by media giant News Corporation. FSN was formed in 1996 as a joint venture between Fox Entertainment and Liberty Media; Fox bought out Liberty's interest in 1999.
