( b Lisbon, 30 Sept 1743; d there, 19 Feb 1822). Portuguese composer. He studied in Naples and worked in Lisbon, becoming cathedral mestre de capela in 1798 and organist of the royal chamber in 1802. He composed stage works and much sacred music. His brother Braz Francisco de Lima (1752-1813) was also a composer.
