Biography

Probably the best way to get acquainted with this master of suggestive lyrics is through the recent anthology on Declic Records, although the other one listed may still be in print. Vincent's album jackets and music are often downright hilarious, although the clever wordplay will be lost on non-Creole-speaking listeners. The reason his records are listed as of high interest is the irony that instrumentally his music is superb, featuring sparkling production, ringing instruments, and creative songwriting. One of the true talents of the Antilles. ~ Gene Scaramuzzo, All Music Guide
