Biography

Reggae performer Frank Carroll, who leads his own band, is sometimes confused with the accomplished studio bassist of the same name. Both of these guys named Frank Carroll play bass, but the reggae man also plays guitar, sings, writes his own songs and produces his own records. Unlike the session man, he does not have a long discography of sideman appearances, but he does have one thing the former Carroll does not--releases under his own name, and original songs such as the dire "Babylon is Falling", the sleazy "Pimpers' Paradise" and the instructional "Making Life Easy". ~ Eugene Chadbourne, All Music Guide
