Frank TV is a new TBS sketch comedy show starring Frank Caliendo. Frank will be the host of the show and will also perform in sketches in full makeup as characters he will impersonate. Frank jokes he 'wanted the show to be called The Chappelle Show, [sic] but the lawyers wouldn't allow it'. TBS has already released clips of the show on their official website. TBS promoted the show heavily during their playoff baseball coverage. 42 different ads were produced and played and created viewer exhaustion.
The first episode of Frank TV will premiere on November 20, 2007 and will be an hour long to showcase many of the impressions that Caliendo has worked on throughout his stand-up career as a comedian. The series reportedly will be filmed in front of a live studio audience and will also feature an array of sketches filmed in front of various sets to resemble the likes of popular TV shows, including Dr. Phil, Seinfeld, The Late Show with David Letterman, and many others.
