Franklin Garrett
Franklin Miller Garrett (September 25,1906 – March 5, 2000) was the first and only official historian of Atlanta.
His massive Atlanta and Environs (1954) remains the best reference for the city's history.

Was a founder of the Atlanta Historical Society, today known as the Atlanta History Center.
