Plot
A fairly faithful remake of Disney's earlier feature of the same name, this version first aired on television. Gaby Hoffman stars as Annabelle, a girl who thinks her mother has an easy life. Her mother Ellen (Shelley Long) thinks Annabelle's life is the better of the two, and after an argument one Friday morning, the two magically switch personalities. A mother, Ellen, (Shelley Long) and daughter Annabelle (Gaby Hoffmann) find it difficult to get along with each other, each professing that the other has no idea what her life is like. A pair of magical amulets causes the two of them to switch bodies for a day, after which they have reached a better understanding of each other.
Among many changes from the original, this version of the story has diving instead of waterskiing as Annabelle's main hobby, which again plays a big role in the film's climax.
