Frederick Vaughn ("Fred") Newhouse (born 8 November 1948) was an American competitor at the 1976 Summer Olympics, winning a gold medal in the men's 4x400 meter relay and silver in the 400 m. He finished second in the Olympic final with a time of 44.40. The final was won by Cuba's Alberto Juantorena, a.k.a. El Caballero, in a then-WR time of 44.26.
