Frederikshavn municipality is a Danish municipality in Region Nordjylland.
As a result of Kommunalreformen ("The Municipal Reform" of 2007), it is a merger between existing Frederikshavn, Skagen and Sæby municipalities. The new municipality has an area of 642 km² and a total population of 62,525 (1st January 2009).[1].
The mayor of the new municipality is Erik Sørensen (Soc.dem.) from Frederikshavn.
