(Friedrich) Wilhelm Langhans

( b Hamburg, 21 Sept 1832; d Berlin, 9 June 1892). German writer,composer and violinist. An admirer of Wagner and an advocate of reforms in music education, he contributed to music periodicals including the Neue Berliner Musikzeitung, the Neue Zeitschrift für Musik and Echo .
