Plot
An outlaw who recently defied death by escaping his noose is on the run with his gang and the daughter of his intended executioner in this prequel to the 1996 series original, From Dusk Til Dawn. ~ All Movie Guide
The reveal of Esmeralda being Santanico Pandemonium was not in the original script, but came about at the suggestion of test audiences.
When the camera pans back in the last scene, the inn is revealed to have been built on top of an Aztec pyramid, presumably the same one as the bar in the first film.
A running theme in the From Dusk till Dawn films is that only two human protagonists survive in the end. In this film it was Johnny Madrid and Ambrose Bierce.
In the original script Johnny and Esmeralda fall in love and are the only ones that survive. This idea was later dropped.
