Plot

Produced by Rory O'Connor, this Frontline investigative report reveals the global banking scandal surrounding the Bank of Credit & Commerce International. From the vaults of PBS, this documentary follows the high-profile inquest from New York District Attorney Robert Morgenthau. A hard-charging advocate for justice, Morgenthau's reputation preceded him as a notorious white-collar crime fighter. Behind the corporate front of balance sheets and ledgers was the clandestine world of terrorism, arms deals, and drug money laundering. A fiscal disease that spread to the movers and shakers of U.S. high finance, the scandal generated questions about the response time of several government agencies. ~ C.
