Review

"Fun Flies" is probably the best song from the Action Suits, a bright rocker that offers sugar-sweet melodies, coy lyrics, and one of their best performances. Released another time with a different B-side, this version includes "Your Soft Light" as the follow-up. The song has a great melody, and Eric Reynolds' voice manages to take full advantage of having such a great chunk of music to work with. The guitars are missing a bit of their usual crispness on this track, emphasizing the gentle approach but also taking a bit of the energy away from the song. Both versions of this single are pretty good, but this one might be the slightest bit better because the B-side is that little bit more impressive. ~ Bradley Torreano, All Music Guide
