Game Description
Gabriel and Grace return to your computer screen, once again on the trail of a mystery that will take them to the shadowy world of vampires and dark secrets. Tracking down a kidnapped child, the duo arrives in the isolated small burg of Rennes-le-Château in the hills of France. From veteran game designer Jane Jensen, Gabriel Knight 3: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned continues this award winning series with a tale filled with enigmas and the macabre. As in previous games, you'll be faced with intricate and intriguing puzzles and riddles to solve, mysteries piled on top of mysteries and layers of clues and leads to test your powers of deduction and investigation skills. While guiding Gabriel and his friend in their quest to unravel this tale of lost treasure, deception, heresy, lies and betrayal, you'll have full access to the Schattenjäger Information Database (SID) with its historical references, possible clues and maps.
Embracing his traditional family role seriously, Gabriel donned the mantle of Shadow Hunter passed on to him by his great uncle Wolfgang Ritter. He met his partner Grace Nakimura after she responded to a help-wanted ad in New Orleans during Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers. She followed him to Germany in Gabriel Knight: The Beast Within, an adventure that took them to Bavaria to solve the mystery of the Mutilation Killings.
The interface in GK3 is simple point-and-click with keyboard support. Interaction with characters and objects encountered within the game are resolved through a system of cursor icons that indicate various functions such as search, look, talk and so forth. A full complement of investigator tools including a fingerprint kit, binoculars and other staples of the detecting trade are available for analyzing clues and screening suspects.
So, pack your bags, grab your garlic strands and join Gabriel and Grace as they try to unravel an ancient 2,000 year-old (2KY!) enigma in the remote surroundings of France.
