Gangesa

 

(fl. c. 1325) Indian philosopher of the Nyaya school. Gangesa is the founder of the ‘new’ school of Nyaya, the Nava-Nyaya. He is notable for extensive realist and externalist writings in epistemology. The principal work is Tattvacintamani, or ‘Jewel of Reflection on the Truth (about Epistemology)’.
