The Gay and Lesbian Humanist Association (GALHA) is a democratic, membership-based Humanist campaigning organisation that represents the many non-religious in the lesbian and gay community in the United Kingdom and beyond. GALHA promotes a rational humanist approach to homosexuality and to lesbian, gay and bisexual rights as human rights.

The Honorary President is Maureen Duffy.

Honorary Vice-Presidents are: George Broadhead, Michael Cashman MEP, Dr. Evan Harris MP, Patrick Harvie MSP, Darren Johnson MLA, Sir Michael Levey LVO FBA FRSL, Maryam Namazie, Taslima Nasrin, Claire Rayner OBE, Dr. Harry Stopes-Roe, Barbara Smoker, Professor Rob Tielman, Angela Willans.

GALHA is affiliated with the International Humanist and Ethical Union (IHEU) and Amnesty International. The official symbol of GALHA is a version of the Happy Human.

GALHA publishes a regular newsletter, having previously been involved with the Gay Humanist Quarterly.

Reacting to the death of Pope John Paul II, the association said he would go down in gay history as one of the most implacable homophobes of all time. [1]
