Biography

The older brother of comedian Harold Lloyd, Gaylord Lloyd played the royal prince Harold is hired to impersonate in His Royal Slyness (1919). Gaylord doubled brother Harold in several other films and even earned his own series of two-reelers in 1921. But as opposed to Charles Chaplin's talented brother Sydney, Gaylord was but a pale imitation of Harold and spent the remainder of his career as an assistant director with the Harold Lloyd Corporation. ~ Hans J.
