Biography

The younger brother of comic actor Nat Pendleton, Gaylord "Steve" Pendleton entered films in 1923. He was usually cast as collegiate types (undergrads, military school cadets), with a few weaklings and villains thrown in. Fans of Bob Hope and Bing Crosby will remember Pendleton as tuxedoed "other man" Gordon Wycott in Road to Singapore (1940).
