Geometric age

 

Geometric age, name given to one of the five periods of the Greek era (based on the differences in pottery styles), denoting very roughly the period 875–750 BC. (Compare PROTO-GEOMETRIC, ORIENTALIZING, ARCHAIC, and CLASSIC. See also IRON AGE.)
