Biography
George Hopkins once headed the set-decorating department at Warner Brothers. He earned that promotion after winning Oscars for Mission to Moscow and This is the Army (both 1943). A native of Pasadena, California, Hopkins got his start designing scenery on stage after studying design in college. He moved to film in 1917 working as an art director for various studios.
