1908Get-Rich-Quick-Wallingford. Chester's popular stories, which had first appeared in the Saturday Evening Post, concern a con man's shady business dealings. George M. Cohan would adapt the story for stage in 1910. Chester continues Wallingford's misadventures in Young Wallingford (1910), Wallingford and Blackie Daw (1913), and Wallingford in His Prime (1913).
