(b Durham, 1788; d London, 8 Sept 1833). English watercolourist. After initial training in Durham, Robson moved to London in 1804 with the intention of becoming a landscape painter. He was introduced to the circle of artists surrounding John Varley, and it was from Varley that Robson derived the strong, uncluttered compositions and breadth of manner that characterize his own style.

George Robson (pronounced /ˈrɒbsən/; February 24, 1909 - September 2, 1946) was a Canadian racecar driver active in the 1940s. Born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England, Robson later moved to Ontario and finally to the U.S. in 1924. Robson died with George Barringer in an accident at Lakewood Speedway in Atlanta, Georgia. Robson's brother Hal also completed in the Indy 500.

The proper pronunciation of his surname was "Rahb-sen," but is often mistakenly pronounced as "Robe-sen"
