Gerber Childrenswear may be one of the first companies to make kids brand-conscious. The company makes infant and toddler clothing sold under the licensed Gerber and Curity labels, as well as its own Onesies brand. Products include sleepwear, underwear, playwear, cloth diapers, footwear, and bibs. The company sells its products primarily through US mass retailers, such as Wal-Mart, Kmart, and Toys "R" Us, and through department and specialty stores. Gerber Childrenswear also offers its Gerber Beginnings baby apparel collection exclusively through retailer Sears, Roebuck and Co. Kellwood Company, which purchased Gerber Childrenswear in mid-2002, sold the company in November 2008.
