1 gibibit = 230 bits = 1,073,741,824 bits = 1,024 mebibits[1]

The gibibit is closely related to the gigabit, which equals to 109 bits = 1,000,000,000 bits, but sometimes used to denote the gibibit value in computer technology slang.
