Present Career and Issue

After long time staying in GMA Network she temporarily cut her contract and decided to be a Freelancer director and actress. She confirmed also that she did not convince her son Geoff Eigenman to leave ABS-CBN and fuse to GMA-7.Her last project seen on GMA-7 is the remake of Una Kang Naging Akin with co-star Angelika dela Cruz, Maxene Magalona, and Alfred Vargas. In 2009 she was invited with the ABS-CBN to join the cast of the Kambal sa Uma remake as the antagonist alongside with co-veteran actress Rio Locsin.

In August 2009, Alajar was sanctioned by the ABS-CBN network after leaking plots and storylines of slated telenovelas of the ABS-CBN roster of soap operas to GMA. Several scriptwriters from the former network as well as surveillance tapes in several ABS-CBN studios showed Alajar sneaking inside the conference rooms and taking the rough drafts and outlines of scripts of Pieta. Alajar and ABS-CBN has resolved the issue by agreement of having Alajar pay the damages, and by temporarily being banned from the network for three years. Alajar has then moved to GMA7.
