Gino Colombini


(1915- )

An Italian designer well known for his elegant designs of household goods in plastic for Kartell, for which he also gained a number of Compasso d'Oro awards in 1955, 1957, 1959, and 1960. He had been a pupil of Franco Albini, collaborating with him from 1933 onwards. He later became involved with Kartell from its foundation in 1949, working for the Italian furniture manufacturer Bonacina (established 1909) and Poliber Renos from the 1960s onwards.
